HBCU

National Band Directors Consortium

The purpose of the Historically Black Colleges & Universities National Band Directors Consortium (HBCU-NBDC) is to provide an opportunity for Band Directors and students from predominately black institutions to collaborate and develop strategic plans for success in instrumental music programs.

In addition, the Annual Convention provides opportunities for individual products to be evaluated through performances. Annual conventions, which include onsite workshops and clinics, are held to provide excellent educational value for band directors, and students aspiring to become band directors.
